Girls‘/Boys‘-Day: Jenaer Einrichtungen öffnen für interessierte Schüler*innen

Girls’/Boys’-Day is just around the corner!

On April 25, companies and institutes in Jena will open their doors to give interested students an insight into professional fields that are often characterized by gender stereotypes.

Numerous JenaVersum partners are taking part in the day of action for young people. They offer exciting workshops and invite you to experiment, try things out and get to know science and research.

Whether it’s your dream job or simply a break from school – this day is open to anyone who is curious and wants to discover something new! How about a lab tour at the Fraunhofer Institute for Applied Optics and Precision Engineering (IOF) for example or an age simulation at the Leibniz Institute on Aging – Fritz Lipmann Institute?

We wish everyone involved lots of fun and would like to thank our partners for their commitment!

Exhibition opening “Sophie. Power. Literature”

On April 7, the new exhibition “Sophie. Power. Literature” will be officially opened at the Goethe and Schiller Archive. Admission is free.

The Weimar Grand Duchess Sophie of Saxe-Weimar-Eisenach became the sole heir to Goethe’s handwritten works in 1885. She wanted to have a functional and dignified building constructed for the safekeeping of the manuscripts: the Goethe and Schiller Archive. Sophie was not only the owner and administrator of the estate, but also a cultural politician. She pursued the goal of making Goethe’s writings accessible to the public. The exhibition “Sophie. Power. Literature” takes a critical look at Sophie’s achievements and explores the links between literature and politics.
