It’s a wrap for the Digital Summit 2023 in Jena!

In addition to the main programme, the “Fair of Digital Opportunities” invited the public to discover the topic of digitalization. There were more than 100 lectures, workshops and over 50 exhibits from institutions and initiatives, offering an exciting program for professionals, students and interested citizens. Around 2,000 visitors attended the five locations and were able to experience digitalization first hand.

At its well-attended stand, JenaVersum provided information on “Networked vision – digital and strategic solutions in the Jena science and business region”. The focus was on the networking meetings IT@JenaVersum and our Carl Zeiss Foundation JenaVersum II project in the field of research infrastructure: OpenIRIS. “The” JenaVersum as a galaxy with planets full of research and innovation was created over the two days on an area of 2×3 m.

The Digital Summit was a great opportunity for our location – we are proud that we performed so well together!

From the 26th to the 28th of September about 4500 students from more than 75 schools in Thuringia, Saxony, Bavaria and Mecklenburg-Vorpommern attended the MINT Festival in Jena. The program offered workshops, lectures, hands-on booths and shows from the fields of mathematics, computer science, natural sciences and technology, many of them on the subject of this year’s motto “energy”.

More than ten JenaVersum partners were also present and gave exciting insights into their current research topics and projects. Other partners were represented at the booth for study and career orientation with interesting job profiles.

Thanks to everyone for the great engagement! We are already looking forward to the next successful MINT Festival.
