Wissen für alle: The label for science events

Science city Jena opens its doors to curious minds! From now on, the label “Wissen für alle” (Knowledge for all) identifies events where research results are communicated in an understandable way. The label thus offers orientation when searching for events.

Making the variety of offers visible
With the mission of making knowledge accessible to all, the label – a stylized shooting star – shows all interested people where they can learn about the latest in science and research. From inspiring evening lectures and rousing science slams to exciting panel discussions – the label highlights public science events at the Jena site. The labeled offerings are open to anyone who wants to satisfy their curiosity and broaden their horizons.

In cooperation with the partners of JenaVersum, the diverse range of events offered locally thus becomes even more visible. JenaVersum, an association of 27 partners, including the two Jena universities, research institutions, companies and the city of Jena, is committed, among other things, to making science and research accessible to all.

A trademark for open science communication
“Knowledge for All” aims to promote open science communication. The range of events at the site, in which current research results are reported, is wide. The clear identification through the label creates a high recognition value and facilitates the targeted search for suitable events. Event visitors can look forward to stimulating contributions and interactive discussions with respected experts from various scientific fields. Just look for the shooting star!

That was the inspiring future conference JenaVersum 2023

More than 70 people from 27 partner institutions came together on June 21, 2023 to further develop the network. In the workshops and during the gallery walk, intensive discussions were held and numerous ideas were collected on the five fields of action of JenaVersum.

All partners had the opportunity: to establish new contacts and strengthen existing ones, to bring in their individual perspective to the exchange on visions and actions on the five fields of action, to exchange ideas and make valuable suggestions and to voice a heartfelt wish for the future of the network.

The Future Conference marked an important milestone for JenaVersum, as the partners from science – business – city came together for the first time in this format to exchange common visions and actions.

We would like to thank all participants for their dedicated participation!

The results of the Future Conference will now be translated into recommendations for action & policy that will be implemented in the further work of the network.
